PTI finally won the bat legal battle before the elections

PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD – The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday restored the election symbol of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ‘Bat’. A two-member PHC bench comprising Justice Ejaz Anwar Khan and Justice Arshad Ali ruled that PTI is a political party and entitled to an election symbol. The court declared that the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to cancel the election symbol of PTI is wrong. The court announced its verdict after hearing PTI’s petition challenging the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to declare the PTI’s intra-party elections null and void and revoke its election symbol “bat”. had gone.

After the verdict, the court ordered the Election Commission to issue a certificate to the PTI and suspended the decision to withdraw its symbol from the party. The court pronounced the verdict after hearing the arguments of the lawyers of ECP and PTI. PTI lawyer Barrister Ali Zafar said that PHC decision is a victory of law and constitution. Senator Ali Zafar and Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan termed the Peshawar High Court’s decision to restore the bat symbol as a victory for democracy.
