In a recent development, the government of Punjab has made an important announcement regarding the school schedules in the province. As reported by media News, the Department of School Education Punjab has declared that all schools in the province will now have two weekly holidays, which will be observed on Saturdays and Sundays. The new schedule, set to commence from August 15, gives everyone ample time to prepare for the changes.
The primary objective behind this decision is to alleviate the workload on teachers and provide them with a more balanced work schedule. By incorporating two weekly holidays, the authorities aim to improve the overall work-life balance for educators.
Furthermore, the notification issued by the department also includes details about the revised school timings. According to the new schedule, single-shift schools will conduct classes for both male and female students from Monday to Thursday, with the timings set from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Additionally, on Fridays, the school hours will be adjusted to 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM to accommodate the revised schedule. This move, anticipated to have a positive impact on the overall learning environment, is a step towards a more conducive and effective learning space for both students and teachers.
