Shaheen all set to return to the field very soon

KARACHI: Pakistan bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has regained his fitness and begun bowling with full rhythm, with a return to the Pakistan Super League scheduled for next month.

A knee ailment has mostly destroyed Shaheen’s past six months. Despite playing in the T20 World Cup in Australia, the player missed the two home series against England and New Zealand due to injury and surgery.

However, with his recuperation nearing completion, the 22-year-old fast bowler is expected to return to full action. He practised with Pakistan’s ODI team earlier today in preparation for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand.
Shaheen bowled four overs and assisted coach Abdul Majeed with fielding drills.
