According to an undisclosed source, Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, son of the former Prime Minister of Qatar, submitted a final bid for the complete ownership of Manchester United just before Friday’s deadline.
Along with an offer to buy the English Premier League club, Sheikh Jassim’s proposal also includes a plan for significant additional capital and infrastructure investment. The bid is said to be for the entire club and would eliminate all debt. Manchester United and Raine Group, the investment bank handling the bidding process, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
