Zardari dreams of Bilawal’s Premiership

On Monday, Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) expressed his desire to see his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari become the Prime Minister of Pakistan during his lifetime, as per Republic Policy News.

Speaking to elected local government representatives and members of the Zardari tribe in Nawabshah, Zardari stated that he aims to witness Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the country’s Prime Minister in the future. Zardari highlighted that they ousted Imran Khan from the PM’s office to save the country, and that the PPP is just a coalition partner of the incumbent government. He added that after coming into power, the PPP would provide employment to the people, as they did in the past.

Zardari urged the people to support Bilawal and Aseefa and maintain unity and harmony, while working hard for the next generations. Previously, Zardari welcomed the suggestion of the Chief Justice of Pakistan for political parties to hold talks regarding the election date, stating that the political parties have initiated talks to solve the issue regarding elections.

Zardari further stated that if the opposition parties could come on the same page for the general elections, the PDM coalition would approach the opposition as well. He also suggested that if the Chief Justice of Pakistan gives some time, holding elections on one day will be possible through consultations.
