Pakistan People s Party (PPP) Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari called on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence in Lahore on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
Matters about the country’s economic and political situation came under discussion during the meeting. Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema was also present on occasion.
According to sources, Asif Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also discussed various strategies to counter Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) plan to dissolve Punjab Assembly.
Sources also informed that the meeting between the two political stalwarts lasted for two hours. Asif Zardari left for Karachi soon after meeting with Chaudhry Shujaat.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence in Lahore.
The premier inquired about Chaudhry Shujaat’s health. Federal Ministers Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Saalik Hussain, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Malik Ahmad Khan were also in the meeting.
They discussed matters about the country’s economic and political situation. In the meeting, the PML-Q chief lauded PM Shehbaz’s efforts to revive the economy.
While both bigwigs vowed to improve and strengthen cooperation and collaboration to get the country out of current economic and political turmoil.
