Pakistan EU Dialogue Strengthens Trade Cooperation

Pakistan and the European Union have reiterated the importance of further deepening trade and investment ties, including expanded cooperation under the EU GSP+ arrangement. The commitment came during the 7th Strategic Dialogue co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and EU High Representative Kaja Kallas in Brussels.

The meeting reviewed the full spectrum of Pakistan-EU relations, building on recent high-level engagements and consistent institutional dialogue between the two sides. Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to a broad-based and forward-looking partnership grounded in shared values, multilateralism, and mutual respect.

The Dialogue also allowed both sides to exchange views on regional and global developments, including South Asia, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and wider geopolitical shifts. They underscored the need for coordinated approaches to peace, stability, sustainable development, climate challenges, and connectivity.
