The US State Department has given credit to Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism, while the South Asian nation strongly criticized the United States and India for a statement they deemed “unilateral” following the meeting between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington.

In a collective declaration, the leaders of both nations urged Islamabad to ensure that its territory is not utilized for the purpose of “orchestrating acts of terror”.

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for the US State Department, acknowledged that Pakistan has taken significant measures to confront terrorist organizations in accordance with the completion of its action plans outlined by the Financial Action Task Force.
