Social work is critical for a welfare society. It helps people who have social disadvantages or personal problems to access resources, services and support. It
advocates for social and economic justice for members of diverse communities who are vulnerable, oppressed or living in poverty. Furthermore, it
confronts social issues in all facets of life, from family welfare to legislative policies. It focuses to enhance human well-being and social functioning by applying theories, skills and values of the profession. It explores and enacts social change by using their position of power to enforce human rights and collective responsibility.

Pakistan needs social work by individuals and communities to develop the social standards. Therefore multiple strategies may be applied by individuals & communities dependent upon the diverse circumstances.

The primary strategy is to create awareness and education about the role and value of social work in society. Then, strengthening the professional identity and standards of social workers through accreditation, training and ethics are important. Furthermore, it is important to build networks and collaborations among social workers, other professionals, organizations and stakeholders.
Henceforth, advocating for policies and laws that support the rights and needs of marginalized groups and communities are vital. Then, promoting research and evidence-based practice that address the local context and challenges is essential. It is also significant to encourage participation and empowerment of service users and beneficiaries.
Lastly, it is vital to celebrate the achievements and contributions of social workers so that individuals may take inspiration and take up the social work. It is significant that the culture of social work is developed in Pakistan because the government can not alone do the welfare & socially developmental work.
