Shoaib Akhtar Expresses Frustration Over Pakistan’s Lackluster World Cup Performance Against India

Former Pakistani fast bowler and cricket analyst Shoaib Akhtar expressed his frustration on Saturday regarding the lackluster performance of the Pakistani cricket team in their World Cup 2023 match against India.

Pakistan was dismissed for a paltry 191 runs as their batting lineup crumbled after the loss of their captain, Babar Azam, who managed a commendable half-century in the highly anticipated cricket match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In the lead-up, India won the toss and elected to bat first, a decision that Akhtar considered unwise since the pitch was expected to be conducive to high scores.

However, Akhtar’s assessment was quickly proven incorrect as the entire batting order struggled, resulting in Pakistan being limited to a mere 191 runs.

In response to the disappointing performance, the former fast bowler remarked that it was a missed opportunity on a pitch that favored batsmen.
