Qatar Seeks Ceasefire in Gaza in Talks with Incoming Trump Administration

Qatar is in discussions with the incoming Trump administration regarding Gaza, sensing new momentum for ceasefire talks, according to Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. Speaking at the Doha Forum on Saturday, Al Thani mentioned that Qatar had received encouragement from the Trump team to push for a ceasefire in Gaza before Trump’s inauguration in January.
