A heated confrontation broke out between PTI leader Barrister Shoaib Shaheen and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry at Adiala Jail’s Gate No. 5 on Saturday, leading to verbal abuse and a physical altercation.
The argument started when Chaudhry accused Shaheen of being an “agency tout.” In response, Shaheen told him to “mind his own business.” The situation quickly escalated, and Chaudhry slapped Shaheen, causing him to fall.
Jail staff stepped in to break up the fight. Chaudhry then proceeded into the jail, while Shaheen suffered an arm injury from the fall.

PTI lawyer Nadia Khattak, who witnessed the incident, condemned Chaudhry’s behavior, stating that regardless of disagreements, physical violence was unacceptable. She was relieved that Shaheen was not seriously hurt.
Meanwhile, on Friday, former PTI member Sher Afzal Marwat caused a stir in the National Assembly with his remark, “Mujhe kyun nikala?” (Why was I removed?), referring to his expulsion from the party.
His statement sparked laughter among government lawmakers and mixed reactions in the assembly. Marwat, who usually entered through the opposition gate, walked in through the treasury members’ entrance, prompting government members to thump their desks in amusement.
The Speaker of the National Assembly jokingly warned, “Don’t get him in trouble.”
During a Q&A session, when the Speaker asked Marwat about the merger of mobile companies, he ignored the topic and repeated, “Why was I removed?” This was met with laughter from the government benches, while PTI lawmakers remained silent.
