The Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Umar, declared on Friday that the party’s head honcho, Imran Khan, won’t be in attendance at the federal government’s All Parties Conference on February 7th.

In a recent meeting in Peshawar, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed the invitation he had extended to Khan, saying: “I’ve also invited the person who’s not willing to give me the time of day,” and added, “I hope all parties will come to the table at the APC and Apex committee meetings.”

The PM emphasized the need to put aside differences and work together to combat terrorism, saying, “We need to band together to beat this terror-monster.”

Reflecting on his days as opposition leader in the National Assembly, the PM recalled, “Whenever he [Imran Khan] sent me a letter, he never addressed me by name, but I always responded with my full name and signature.”
