A German ensemble taking part in the ongoing Pakistan Theatre Festival 2023 at Karachi’s Arts Council delivered a comedic play titled “Trashedy” as part of their contribution to raising awareness about global littering and waste pollution. This performance marked the end of a successful week at the event.
The month-long theater festival is a collaborative effort between the Arts Council of Pakistan and a private newsagency. As a special gesture, schoolchildren from both Lyari and Defence areas were extended invitations to attend the German troupe’s theatrical presentation. The play was directed by Leandro Kees and featured a talented cast including Marie-Lena Kaiser, Daniel Matheus, Julia Mota Carvalho, and Elina Brams Ritzau.
