Maryam Nawaz took oath as the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab

LAHORE: PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz took oath as the newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab province on Monday.

The swearing-in ceremony of the first woman chief minister was held at the Governor’s House where Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman administered the oath to her.

After the swearing-in ceremony, Maryam Nawaz reached the Chief Minister’s Secretariat where she was presented with a guard of honour.

Maryam is the fourth member of the Nawaz Sharif family to be elected as the Chief Minister.

The senior vice-president of PML-N had won NA-119 and PP-159 in the two seats of Lahore in the February 8 general elections.

He vacated his National Assembly seat to become the Chief Minister of Punjab.
