Pakistan-Iran border is a symbol of peace and friendship: Army Chief

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir met Iranian President Dr. Syed Ibrahim Raisi.

The talks mainly focused on issues of mutual interest, especially regional peace, stability and border security.

The two sides agreed on the need to promote bilateral cooperation while striving for regional stability and economic prosperity.

The Army Chief termed the Pak-Iran border as a border of peace and friendship.

He stressed the need for better coordination along the border to prevent terrorists from jeopardizing the long-standing brotherly ties between the two neighboring countries.

President Ibrahim Raisi stressed that by promoting cooperation between the two armed forces, Pakistan and Iran can achieve peace and stability for both nations and the region.
