Islamabad: The PML-N Lawyers Forum Punjab has taken legal action against Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi for purportedly breaching the “judicial code of conduct, the Constitution, and the law” and has lodged a complaint with the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
This move follows the PML-N’s previous accusations of bias against two top court judges towards the party and its leadership.
Furthermore, audio leaks that emerged last month, featuring former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi, Naqvi, and others, allegedly discuss managing courts. Elahi, a confidante of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, is heard in the recordings.
